ARTS TO GROW
The appreciation of the arts in the development and learning of children and adolescents is a distinctive feature of our pedagogical model. That's why we have an educational offer that integrates the arts into everyday learning and early relationships. On the other hand, characteristics of the arts such as creativity and collaboration, the aesthetic and cultural sense and multimodal expression and communication, inform, challenge and complement the assimilation of scientific, technological, language and world knowledge that education, from the nursery, at the end of basic education, its mission is to provide. Creativity is an essential power for the XNUMXst century, which we propose to develop with a teaching where dance, music, painting and theater are regularly in dialogue with other disciplines and facilitate growth and learning.
LEARN BY DISCOVERY
Combining experiential, expository and participatory methods, students are called to see, hear, question, imagine, solve, design and execute. The parameters and curricular contents that guide childhood education and basic education are present and acquired in a daily learning process that stimulates curiosity and imagination, motivating entrepreneurship and success that return satisfaction. This principle is applied vertically at the various levels of the school and horizontally in the different disciplines, promoting interaction and collaboration between the entire school community in common projects and knowledge of the outside, cultural, scientific, technological and social world.
PEDAGOGICAL PARTNERSHIPS
This Educational Project encourages collaboration between the teaching staff through themes that are transversal to the different teaching cycles or through interdisciplinary projects within the same year or cycle of schooling. Educators, head teachers, class directors and other teachers of the arts, languages, sciences, sports and technologies are encouraged to plan common teaching and assessment strategies, as well as related and complementary didactic units, in a project collective and shared process of consolidating essential learning and developing a student profile prepared for change.
INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM
In addition to the proven cognitive benefits of early and persistent second language learning, mastery of the English language and its coverage of globally essential knowledge prepare students for the future on an international scale. Through a partnership with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) system, in 2019 we started a process of dialogue and integration of the international curriculum in the national curriculum program that we adopted, determined by the Ministry of Education. More than imposing a study plan, CAIE works with schools to develop the best educational practices, in line with international trends to improve teaching and learning, based on curiosity and passion, in a successful education path. where you learn, discover and achieve in the process of preparing for life.
TECHNOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE
Knowing how to use technology and understanding its multiple means and applications are essential tools for future professionals in the XNUMXst century. Learning information and communication technologies (ICT) to ensure digital literacy, the creative use of technologies to solve problems and present projects, and familiarity with pedagogical resources in new media to study, accompany the curriculum of students at Colégio Cesário Green. HEALTH, WELL-BEING AND ENVIRONMENT
Sport is part of the development of transversal skills and is valued in the curriculum like all other subjects and activities. This component enables students to be in good physical condition, based on strength, agility and body control, promotes health and well-being and contributes to team spirit among students, with teachers and in the sense of the school community. Education for health and well-being is involved in several curricular domains, such as the study of the environment and natural sciences, among others, and in a close relationship with environmental education and the commitment to the sustainability of planet Earth.
