Volleyball is a sport that explores the different body movements, and can not only help in the motor development of its practitioners, but also in the development of self-esteem, cooperation, discipline, organization and also a means of socialization between students of different genres
There is a relationship between physical and cognitive skills in volleyball practice: motor coordination, laterality, balance, speed, reflex, explosive strength, flexibility, attention, construction of unnatural gestures, problem solving problems, reasoning, imagination, creativity, decision making, building relationships, improving the space/time relationship, strategy and judgment.
All these elements that are developed in training, absorbed and organized by the child in their individual construction within a social environment.
Judo was created by Jigoro Kano, a century-old martial art, who through the study of several prestigious schools of jujutsu (feudal combat systems), created a more effective and safer system to practice.
It is currently an Olympic sport, it takes advantage of the opponent's movements to win, making technique prevail over strength, in physical and mental harmony, providing constant learning to the judoka.
Due to the type of techniques used, it favors the use of natural body movements, helping with balanced development and posture.
Acrobatic gymnastics requires, on the part of the gymnast, agility, strength, coordination, flexibility and balance, in addition to the technical requirements of jumping. The routines are performed with musical accompaniment and require expression and body movements perfectly synchronized with the music.
Acrobatic Gymnastics in the constitution of its pairs and groups has gymnasts of different ages, heights and of both sexes, to which we give three denominations: bases, intermediates and flyers. The bases are usually the older elements of the pair or group with a taller stature, usually stronger to easily support and support the steering wheel. The steering wheel is the other element of the pair or group that is usually newer, with a lower and lighter physical structure to facilitate working together, also allowing for greater longevity of sporting participation.
Furthermore, this discipline creates very strong bonds of friendship between the partners, as well as the spirit of teamwork and, most importantly, the trust between partners and coaches.
Sports Gymnastics classes are aimed at students from 4 to 15 years old.
This is a very complex modality, which includes several devices that presuppose very different and very demanding movements in terms of their execution. The classes have as fundamental objectives the development of the body, the control of movements and the learning of the main gymnastic skills.
School Sports assumes itself as a privileged educational means for the personal and social development of the student.
Thus, we consider sports learning a priority – not only in psychomotor development, but also in learning values, which is important for the student's growth.
The values worked on in group dynamics, intrinsic to sports activities are: humanism, truth and honesty, solidarity, respect and loyalty, discipline and courage.
The modalities practiced within the scope of School Sports in our College are: Acrobatic Gymnastics and Volleyball. The competitive framework is dependent on the norms of the Ministry of Education.
